Managing lists of telephone numbers


To start broadcasting you will need to create a phone number database in your account.


Creating a list

Telephone number lists can be created by the voice broadcast administrator with an appropriate access.

You do not need to create a project to create phone number lists. You can create as many lists as you like, and they can be used in any of your projects.

Login to the JAICP platform. On the toolbar click on Phone numbers > Add a list of phone numbers. In the dialog that opens, select or drag a file with the phone numbers to attach it. From here you can also download a sample list by clicking on An example of valid table.


Validating a list

Files are validated during the import process. The list must meet the following conditions:

  • File format: XLS, XLSX, CSV.
  • File size: maximum 2 Mbyte.
  • Telephone number format: 7хххххххххх.
  • Number of lines in the file: 10,000 or less. If there are more numbers than this, only the first 10,000 are loaded and the rest are discarded.
  • If there are duplicate phone numbers in the list, they will be loaded, provided that they differ in at least one field. Otherwise, duplicates will not be loaded but will be logged in the error report.

You can create a list that includes not only numbers but also additional fields. For example: First name, Last name, City. The table will only be validated by the first column that contains the phone numbers and the remaining fields will be loaded as text.

If the phone number format is invalid it will be automatically amended in the following cases:

  • The format 8хххххххххх is replaced by 7хххххххххх.
  • Spaces and the + - () characters will be removed.

The validation results will be displayed after the file has been loaded. You can view the list of phone numbers that failed validation by clicking on Show list.

At this stage you can cancel import, fix the errors and try to reload the file; or, you can add only the numbers that passed validation.

To create the list confirm that the subscribers have agreed to give their numbers to you.

Click Add phone numbers. The list will display as a table. The columns shown are:

  • Date of creation — the date of loading.
  • List name — the name is the same as the file name.
  • Numbers in the list — the number of imported phone numbers.

Number timezone

You can add an optional GMT_ZONE column when you upload your phone number list. In that column, you can specify the timezone for each number as follows:

  • Timezone relative to UTC, e.g. +03:00.
  • Timezone ID, e.g. Europe/Moscow.

Select Use subscribers local time when you create your voice calling campaign. The start and end times of the campaign will be defined in the callee’s timezone.

Viewing a list

You can view the imported list by downloading it as a file. To download it, click on the Click on "download" icon to download list as a file icon next to the list name. The list will be downloaded as XLSX.

If additional information was included in the table in the initial file, then it will be included in the downloaded file as well.


Deleting a list

To delete a list click on the Click on "delete" icon to delete a list icon next to its name and confirm deletion.

Deleting a phone number list does not affect broadcasts that are in progress or have been suspended. The list of numbers used is available in the reports.
